Sachelle Reed

Sachelle Reed is a dynamic storyteller, media expert, and award-winning journalist with an incredible passion for people.

Sachelle has spent nearly two decades reporting and leading shows in local news, including aiding in the creation and launch of new programming at multiple television networks. She currently serves as the inaugural morning anchor for Spectrum News in Wisconsin, a statewide network she helped develop, with growth rivaling legacy stations. Sachelle is a discerning leader who recognizes the impact of having diverse voices at the table, who are not afraid to rock it.

Sachelle has been at the center of stories that have gripped the nation. She was there in the days following the tragic Pulse mass shooting, spending months alongside the survivors and community, documenting their healing. Her compassionate coverage garnered her an Associated Press Award. You may have watched as Sachelle was whipped by hurricane winds as she steadied herself on Daytona Beach during Hurricane Matthew and Irma. Sachelle has also been on the ground, amplifying the voice of the people in state and national elections. She's covered everything from divisive political rallies, the tense aftermath of police-involved shootings, and the tragic loss of life in undervalued communities. However, Sachelle has also witnessed the strength of the human spirit, miraculous recoveries, and joyous celebrations of resilience.

She also shares insight on the inner-workings of the news business or politics to encourage transparency and media literacy. Sachelle also believes in the power of storytelling to heal and change lives, often sharing intimate and hilarious details of her own journey as a wife and mother of five children.

Sachelle is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, which she has served in both local and national roles. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
