RACHEL ROBINSON, MA
Rachel Robinson is a passionate and result-oriented business professional with 15 years of community and non-profit experience. Her professional experiences in program development, fundraising, and community collaboration are the center of whatever she does.
Rachel currently serves as the Executive Director of the Swedish American Riverfront YMCA of Rock River Valley. She is the first woman of color to hold this position in the Rockford region. Before joining the YMCA, she served the Rockford community in various sectors, including healthcare, legal, and education. Her professional experience includes program management and community impact at Rock Valley College, Alignment Rockford, Prairie State Legal Services, and KFACT (Keeping Families and Communities Together).
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Judson University. She is a graduate of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Rockford.
Rachel is passionate about her civic engagement and loves to give back to her community. She has volunteered with the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, Golden Apple Foundation, Rockford Public Schools District 205, American Cancer Society, Rockford MELD Northern Illinois Food Bank, United Way of Rock River Valley, and Alpine Kiwanis Club. Rachel is a past member of the Junior League of Rockford, a civic leadership organization assisting women, children, and families. She is a current participant in the Women & Wealth leadership program.
Rachel's passion is education, and she proudly describes herself as a servant leader. She is willing to help others become the best versions of themselves. She has used her passions to mentor hundreds of local teens and young adults to navigate their educational path. Strategic planning and relationship building is her foundation when addressing organization and community needs. Small business consulting is another career aspiration that Rachel utilizes to broaden her impact. Her ultimate goal is to assist others with growing their God-given talents.
