Yolanda Lynn Penix
Yolanda L. Penix has been compassionate about the well-being of others all her life, exemplified by her career of being in the medical field in multiple positions for over 30 years. She is also involved in her church, helping to organize different programs and finding resources for all ages that meet their needs.
Yolanda currently works as a Certified Medical Assistant for the UW Health Swedish American System. Before UW Health, she worked with Mercy Health, formerly Rockford Health Systems. Yolanda was a part of the Super Team for introducing and training staff for the internet medical systems and uploading all patient information. Her experience and responsibilities include work in the nursing/rehab arena, Activity Director, Social Worker for the residents, Admissions and Marketing Coordinator, and staff advocacy.
Yolanda has received an Associate of Arts degree from Rasmussen College and is completing her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Judson University. Yolanda is a collaborating author in the book The Bloom Volume. She has been a radio personality in her community on the former radio station WNTA and a part of launching the Stella Award-winning internet station SOAR Radio, and the SOAR Awards show. She occasionally teaches youth, young, and older adults and assists with the programs and Facebook presentations at her church.

She uses her gift of singing to inspire others and has completed two albums with messages of holding on to dreams and expecting the greater. Yolanda is a part of the Women and Wealth Leadership Program.
Yolanda is always eager to volunteer with organizations that help change individuals' circumstances in her community. She volunteers for the Meet My Shoes Organization, which addresses the needs of veterans, the elderly, and misplaced victims of domestic violence. Yolanda also volunteers at her church, St. Paul Church of God In Christ, with outreach that includes food and clothing drives, collecting and distributing school supplies, and more.
Yolanda is very optimistic about seeing everyone get the care they need. She desires to create more affordable living circumstances for the elderly, especially in the African American community. Yolanda strives to inspire people to know that it's never too late to find the hidden treasures in them.
