Allison Oates was born and raised in Rockford, IL. Allison graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2018. During her four years at Eastern Illinois University, Allison participated in the Miss Black and Gold Pageant, where she won Miss Congeniality as a sophomore in college. In Allison’s senior year, she competed for Homecoming Queen, stole the crown, and earned the title of Homecoming Queen. Allison has one of those personalities that lightens up the room. 

 

After Allison graduated undergraduate, she continued her education at Rockford University, where she earned her Master’s in Business Administration. Allison’s education helped her gain her dream job with Oak Street Health as a healthcare manager. 

 

Allison admires serving others in healthcare and advocating for the senior population who may be health illiterate.

 

Ms. Oates is well-known in her community. Allison is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she volunteers her time with her Sistars on how to serve others and network with others in the Rockford community in different ways for the community to stay connected. 

 

Allison’s passions include traveling the world, exploring new foods, and meeting like-minded people. Allison also enjoys tutoring Beginners Chinese (Mandarin) for all ages.
